Duke of Edinburgh Award - Introduction
Ann Eddington and Deborah Cuckston have been delivering the expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh award since 1992. At that time very few people were delivering these expeditions in the London area. Their organisational skills and professional approach gained them much respect in this field and their client list has grown to what it is today. In the London Area alone they are now delivering to 26 schools in 7 boroughs. They deliver Training and Assessment to over 1000 students a year in the Bronze, Silver and Gold Award.
Ann and Debs joined Mountainwise in 2007 with their client base and together with Lee Taylor to assist them, they are now delivering an ever increasing number of Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.
Mountainwise is fully licensed by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Service, part of the Health And Safety Executive, in line with Government regulations for outdoor companies working with people under 18 years of age in adventurous activities.
Mountainwise provides all the equipment needed for students to undertake Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.
